Couple almost aborts baby due on wedding date
At least five babies (possibly ten or more) were rescued from abortion last
week in Bakersfield, as Christians pleaded for their lives outside the
Family Planning Associates abortion chamber in Bakersfield. Some of the
women who had planned to surrender themselves to abortionist Robert Smith
were repulsed by their perception that he receives erotic pleasure by
violating the sanctity of their wombs. Here are some stories of how God
worked through Christians to save these children:
After three years together, "Enrique" and "Maya" recently became engaged, setting their wedding date for March 27, 2005. After they shared the happy news with their families, the couple received some unwelcome news: Maya was pregnant.

Eight week baby (about the size of Maya's baby).

Traveling from Visalia to Bakersfield, Maya reluctantly prepared to deliver their child over to the violence of abortion, while she wore a ring symbolizing her commitment to love Enrique.
After the couple parked their car in the abortion chamber's parking lot, they met Andy*, Rhonda* and Terri*, part of a group of Christians who were standing on the sidewalk.
Terri asked "what's the main reason you're wanting an abortion?"
"The situation is not really good," Enrique answered, mentioning the fact that he is still is school and they are planning on getting married next year. Maya remained quiet throughout the conversation.
Andy and Rhonda offered to adopt the baby. "Even though the situation is hard," Andy explained, "having a baby die is not going to help the situation at all."
Terri inquired "Are you guys Christians?"
"No," Enrique confessed, "we're Catholic." Then he revealed that they didn't want their parents to know that Maya became pregnant before the wedding.
"Think about this," Terri suggested, "when she's walking down the aisle, how much did it cost for her to fit into that wedding dress?
"She's gonna know, 'it cost my baby's life in order for me to do this.'
"It's too late to stop and think 'what are my parents going to do?' You chose to be in bed with her," Terri challenged Enrique.
"Well, yeah, and we chose to use protection," Enrique maintained, "but it didn't work."
Terri held a portable DVD player up, asking Enrique and Maya to watch a video about abortion. Enrique initially resisted, saying "we already talked about it."
"Watch it just so you know what she will go through," Terri pleaded. "Look how he forces his way inside of her. Do you really want that man doing that to her?"
"I know what it's like," Rhonda quietly admitted as Enrique and Maya watched the video, "I did that."
After about 30 minutes of discussing their situation with the Christians, Enrique and Maya talked together for few minutes. Finally, Enrique announced, "we're going home!"
When the baby's due date was calculated, the couple was pleased to see that the baby is due on March 27, 2005: their wedding date!
"It's not that we're really in a bad spot right now," Enrique admitted, "it's just that we really didn't plan on having one."
As the couple drove away, Terri encouraged the couple to "go buy something for the baby now, using the money you were going to spend on the abortion."
When "Sue" approached the abortion chamber, she knew what to expect. Her church is heavily involved in offering help to women outside the abortion chamber. Several years ago, she had stood on these same sidewalks herself, seeking to save other women's children from abortion. But now she found herself in a different situation. Already having the responsibilities of raising her three small children, she had become pregnant after having an affair with a married man. Nobody in her church would understand.

Sue hurried past the Christians on the sidewalk, hoping nobody would recognize her.
Eventually she found herself inside the abortion chamber, dressed in a gown waiting for the abortionist. Sue was shocked by the flippant attitude some of the women had toward abortion: "they were just talking so casually about how they've been in here two, three or more times and they just have no emotion about it at all."
But abortionist Robert Smith disturbed her the most. "He kept walking by, looking at us with his tongue hanging out. I told the girl next to me, 'he looks like such a pervert.' He just kept walking past us and made me feel really uncomfortable."
After Sue was examined, the abortion staff suggested that she should return in two weeks for the abortion. "I was really early," Sue explained. "They said they could do the abortion still, but if I have it done, it's possible that I may still be pregnant."
As Sue walked out of the abortion chamber, she realized that it would be at least another hour before her boyfriend came to pick her up. When Terri started talking to her, Sue decided to stop hiding the truth.
"I knew when I walked up there this morning that I don't belong here," Sue told Terri. "I went and got myself into a situation that I had no business being in in the first place, and I got backed into a corner and I don't want to do this. I've never had abortions before."
"All things happen for a reason, and God knows my heart, and He knows that my heart wasn't in this. They made me an appointment for the 30th, but I'm not going to come back," Sue promised.
"If I can handle three I can handle one more."

Model of a 20 week baby in the womb, held by Terri Palmquist.
|
"Allie" decided to abort her sixth child, although she was over halfway through her pregnancy (22 weeks). The Bakersfield abortion chamber sent her to Long Beach for the abortion.
Terri offered to show Allie the abortion video. Allie refused, but Terri was able to show her a model of a 20 week baby, emphasizing how large the baby is at this stage of development.
Later in the week, Terri called Allie, hoping to hear that she changed her mind. Instead, she was faced with the brutal reality that Allie's baby was dead, as Allie struggled to talk because of her pain.
This stinging news caused Terri to feel physically ill. Having just learned that she is pregnant with her eleventh child, Terri was overwhelmed with sorrow by the death of this baby.

Matthew 18:10-14 (the words of Jesus)
"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."
Pray that God will help you to see these little ones through heavenly eyes, and that your will will be conformed to His will for these children.
