Elisa attached this picture to her message "so you can witness this angel! Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!"

Early on a Sunday morning last September, we received an urgent message from Elisa, a mother in Newark NJ who had taken the RU486 (mifepristone) abortion pill but now wanted to save her baby.

We just received another message from Elisa informing us that “with all your blessings and prayers I proudly delivered my first baby girl after 7 boys Monday April 19.” Elisa went on to tell us that she named her baby Emily and she “is perfect in every way!”

When Elisa had first contacted us in September, we located Dr. Jean Golden-Tevald (with the help of Dr. George Delgado), who administered progesterone injections for two weeks and then provided Elisa with progesterone pills for the next 8-10 weeks. We also put Elisa in touch with Erin from El Paso, the mother of our first “abortion pill baby,” who provided Elisa with practical encouragement from her own experience.

“There were absolutely no problems at all with my pregnancy,” Elisa emphasized. Emily was born full term, weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces.

“I cannot express my gratitude enough,” Elisa exclaimed. “God saved my daughter and I am so very thankful that it was because of you! May God always bless you and watch over you and your family.”

“I am so grateful to have been given an 8th chance at becoming a mother : )”

Recognizing that (as Elisa says) prayer played an important role in saving her daughter’s life, please realize that if you prayed for her, you were a part of this victory!

One of the reasons we receive calls like this from across the country is that, whenever possible, we actually answer our hotline (866-949-2229). Sadly, that is extremely rare in the pro-life movement today, as most ministries allow voicemail or answering machines to take over on weekends or after hours. (But we have found that, quite frequently, life-changing decisions are not made during office hours.) If you have been supporting us financially, you also share in this victory, because without people like you we would not be able to pay our expensive phone bills so that we could be ready to help Elisa in her time of need.

At this very moment we are facing a serious financial need of about $2000 just to catch up with our ministry bills. Please consider donating online today so that you can be a part of future victories like this!

Elisa and Erin are just the beginning of an important abortion pill project we are working on which has huge potential to impact our nation at a time when the abortion industry is focusing more on chemical abortions.

St. Gianna’s Maternity Home has provided essential help for LifeSavers Ministries clients, providing a local place for us to send homeless pregnant women. Without this home being open, some of these babies would have undoubtedly been aborted, and their mothers would be experiencing a lifetime of regret. Most of the pregnant women who have been helped by St. Gianna’s have been referred from LifeSavers Ministries.

Now St. Gianna’s Maternity Home is experiencing a crisis. The ministry was already struggling for funds before the unexpected death last month of founder Amanda Fimbres-Baeza. But now the problems have intensified.

To help raise funds to keep the maternity home’s doors open, a 48 hour telethon will be held beginning on Friday, June 5 at 8 am and ending Sunday, June 7 at 8 am. The telethon will be located at the maternity home, 3811 Mt. Vernon Ave. in Bakersfield, featuring all day activities, with music, food, a live concert and a talent show. For more information, call 872-BABY.

LifeSavers Ministries has been asked to bring our new Traveling Life Center RV to Las Vegas July 15-22 for a week of outreach outside the city’s 10 abortion centers!

Please consider sending us a donation today to help us get the Traveling Life Center fully equipped soon. At this point we do not even have funds for gas and insurance, but we know that God will provide!

We have also been invited to attend a pro-life ministry fair in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 30, in preparation for the July events.

You are encouraged to join us in Las Vegas in July for some or all of this week of ministry. More details are available from Operation Save America.

LifeSavers Ministries has focused on helping to encourage new pro-life ministries in Las Vegas several times over the past few years, including spearheading the start of the Las Vegas 40 Days for Life campaign.

A memorial service was held Friday, April 3, for Annaliz Angel Loza, who died inside her mother’s womb at 5 months gestation. The baby’s 17-year-old parents, Jennifer and John, were courageous in choosing life for their baby in spite of the fact that Jennifer has lupus and several people insisted that she should abort the baby.

Jennifer delivered Annaliz naturally on March 28 after a day and a half of labor. Family members all had the opportunity to hold the baby and to say goodbye. Ruth Loza, the baby’s grandmother, expressed her amazement at Annaliz’s beautiful and perfectly formed body, which is about the size of her father’s hand.

LifeSavers Ministries provided financial assistance with funeral expenses, along with help from Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary. The baby was buried in the Lullaby section of the cemetery.

Terri Palmquist, leader of LifeSavers Ministries, commented "it is apparent that even though the baby’s life was short, she impacted a lot of people."

LifeSavers Ministries now has a new "Traveling Life Center " ("TLC") which will enable us to offer services more easily in outlying areas. Although the TLC is not fully set up as a mobile pregnancy help center yet, God has already been using it to help save babies from abortion as it is stationed outside Bakersfield’s Family Planning Associates abortion center. Many thanks to David and Grace Madruga of Grace Electric for the generous donation of their RV!

LifeSavers Ministries continues to need financial help for this project, to help cover the insurance, gas, signs and equipment, and hopefully eventually a portable ultrasound machine!
