Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is planning to begin aborting babies in Bakersfield soon!  Without hiding their identity or their deadly intentions, the nation’s largest abortion profiteer has been obtaining permits from the City of Bakersfield for months, reportedly being assured that “no public hearing” will be held.  But it’s not too late for you to make your voice heard in this local life-and-death battle!

Earlier this month, a builder came to the Family Planning Associates abortion center to inform Terri Palmquist of the construction of the new Planned Parenthood “mega” abortion center — over 10,000 square feet — a few blocks west of Mercy Hospital, across the street from a residential area.  The new location is about a block west of the existing Planned Parenthood office, where abortions have apparently never been committed, although abortion referrals have frequently occurred.

Christian builder halts work

Terri learned that the contractor responsible for putting up the walls of the abortion center was a local Christian known for his ministry involvement, so Terri and Tim Palmquist met with the contractor to ask him not to participate in the building of this killing center. Nevertheless, for two weeks after the meeting, the contractor continued to express his intention to fulfill his contract with Planned Parenthood.

But early last Friday, he abruptly changed his mind, calling Terri to let her know that he had just met with Planned Parenthood officials to inform them that he will not complete the job!  Please pray that God will protect this courageous contractor from anything Planned Parenthood tries to use against him, and that his stand will convict other local contractors to refuse to participate in the building of this abortion center.

City Council hearing sought

This coming Wednesday at 5 pm, concerned citizens will ask the Bakersfield City Council for a public hearing on the new Planned Parenthood project, which currently awaits a permit for a “parcel map merger.”  The proposed abortion center consists of two existing buildings on two adjacent parcels which are being joined together. While a few participate in the meeting, others will gather outside to pray.

“Although Planned Parenthood is the ‘Goliath’ of the abortion industry, they are not invincible,” Terri insisted.  ”We have already seen God do an amazing work in the heart of the contractor who quit building the abortion center, and we expect to see Him accomplish even more in the coming days!”  An encouraging example recently occurred in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where another new Planned Parenthood mega abortion center has been put up for lease before aborting any children!

Locally, efforts to oppose Walmart Supercenters approved by the City Council in 2002 resulted in a delay of over five years although construction was already well underway — proving that even in Bakersfield it is not impossible to stop seemingly inevitable projects.

Planned Parenthood’s broad agenda

For decades, the Family Planning Associates abortion center in Bakersfield has been the only killing center within a 100 mile radius.  But over the past few years, the abortion rate at the Bakersfield FPA has been decreasing.  So how can Planned Parenthood justify building a mega abortion center here?  ”The answer may possibly be found in ObamaCare and the HHS abortion mandate,” Tim explained.  Across the nation, Planned Parenthood is apparently gearing up for an increase in their abortion business, as indicated by the number of mega abortion centers proposed or recently constructed.
