The road from Death Valley to life
Living with her mother on the outskirts of Death Valley, hours away from the nearest abortion center, “Rachel” found herself running out of options when planning to abort her baby. She didn’t want her family, church, or friends to know about the pregnancy, so she eventually located a stranger to drive her to Bakersfield’s FPA abortion center, paying him $100 to cover his travel expenses and time.
