After giving birth to her first child a few months ago, “Victoria” signed up for membership at a gym to help get her body back into shape. But less than a month later, she found out that she was pregnant again. “Your gym membership will just be a waste of money now,” her husband said, “you should just have an abortion.” Their insurance would pay for the abortion at no financial cost to them.

After "Jaleesa" exited Bakersfield’s FPA abortion business Tuesday morning, she encountered Christians who were praying on the sidewalks as part of the 40 Days for Life campaign, including Terri and Amparo.  Although she attends a local Baptist church, Jaleesa told Terri and Amparo that she still intended to go through with the abortion because she already has one baby and she is going to school. “Gregoria” hurried out of the car up the stairs to the waiting room of the FPA abortion chamber. Meanwhile, her mother explained to the Christians on the sidewalks that she was Catholic and opposed abortion, but she drove her daughter to the abortion center because she didn’t want her to be alone. Terri gave Gregoria’s mother a handheld MP3 video player and asked her to bring it upstairs to show an abortion video to Gregoria.

When "Mirabelle" arrived at the abortion center holding her little girl, Terri thought that she was there to pray at the 40 Days for Life vigil, so Terri offered her a place to sit.  "Oh, no, I’m looking for the clinic," Mirabelle responded in broken English.

When "Orelia" discovered that she was pregnant, she went to Clinica Sierra Vista for a checkup, where she received sad news.  "Your baby is dead," she was told, and she was sent to the FPA abortion center to abort the "dead" baby.
