“Stacy” advertises her business on the side of her vehicle, hoping to attract new customers.  But this week her ad brought her something more important.

Her son had asked to borrow the SUV to bring his wife to a clinic for a prenatal visit, but Stacy had no idea that they intended to abort their baby.  The young couple ignored Terri when she tried to talk to them outside the abortion chamber.  But Terri noticed a phone number on the window of the SUV, so she dialed the number.

When a woman answered, Terri asked “Is this Stacy?”

“Yes,” she replied.

“Are you at the abortion center?”

“No.”

“Well, there’s a vehicle advertising your business here.”

“Oh, my son borrowed the car this morning to take my daughter-in-law to the clinic to find out how far along she is, but not for an abortion.  I’m going to call him because I didn’t know that it was an abortion clinic.”

Stacy tried to call her son, but he didn’t answer the phone, so she asked Terri for directions to the abortion business.

Stacy arrived in less than 10 minutes, immediately going upstairs to talk to her daughter-in-law.  Stacy’s daughter-in-law explained that she was pregnant from another man.  In spite of the fact that the baby would not be her biological grandchild, Stacy said “If you don’t want the baby, we do.”  Stacy pleaded with her for several minutes, but eventually her daughter-in-law went back in to the abortion building.

Walking back downstairs, Stacy told Terri “she’s not coming out–I’m calling our pastor!”

Eventually, Stacy’s daughter-in-law came out without aborting the baby.  Stacy gave Terri a big hug and said “thanks very much!”

Today Terri spoke to Stacy again.  Stacy explained that, like her daughter-in-law, she was also a teen mother and was helped by a pro-life ministry after her first baby was born.  “I’m so thankful to God that you went out of your way to get a hold of me,” Stacy told Terri.  “Because of you, this baby is alive!”
