Woman risks divorce by deciding not to abort baby

Many women came to the LifeHouse pregnancy help center for free pregnancy tests last week, but most of them were not pregnant. This provided many opportunities to encourage young women toward abstinence until marriage. Abortionist Kenneth Wright returned to the FPA abortion chamber for two days of childkilling. Here is the story of one of the women who escaped the knife of this notorious abortionist:

When "Miriam" found out that she was pregnant with her third child, she immediately knew that her husband was probably not the baby's father. Hoping to save her troubled marriage, she made an appointment with the FPA abortion chamber.

Miriam agonized over her abortion decision. She has been attending a local Pentecostal church, and she knew that it would be a sin to abort her child. The night before her appointment, she kept thinking "maybe I shouldn't do this."

But after a restless night, she decided to keep her appointment anyway, unable to think of any other way to get out of her predicament. As Miriam approached the abortion mill, Debbie* encouraged her to reconsider her decision.

Soon Terri* joined in the conversation, giving Miriam a "Hope for the Future" Bible and a teddy bear, along with some literature about the risks of abortion. After talking to Debbie and Terri for about 20 minutes, Miriam said she needed to go in.

"My friend is in there for an abortion, and I need to try to talk her out of it," she said. Terri and Debbie prayed that God would protect Miriam and her baby, and then she went upstairs.

Miriam's friend had already been taken back for the abortion, so Miriam came back outside to talk with the Christians on the sidewalk. "I need a ride home," she said.

Terri brought Miriam over to the LifeHouse to give her a gift box for her baby, and to talk more about her situation. After the discussion, Miriam said that she will now keep the baby, even though she realizes that her husband will probably divorce her.

Pam (a new pro-life volunteer) gave Miriam a ride home.

Scripture Focus: Luke 18:15-17

"Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to Him and said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.'"

Pray that God will help you to see the abortion holocaust through the eyes of little children.
